Dr. Hedgecock's path into dental sleep medicine started with a member of his own family, who — after years of failed CPAP therapy — was successfully treated with an oral appliance and transformed in front of him. He left a comfortable general practice to build one dedicated entirely to dental sleep medicine, founding Sleep Better Austin in 2016. Ten years later, that practice has grown to seven locations across Central Texas, and the operating playbook he built has become the foundation of the NADSM platform. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine, has coached hundreds of dentists through the International Academy of Sleep, lectures nationally on dental sleep medicine, and earned his MBA from the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin.
